March 3, 2025 Kate Gleyzer has always loved books, and loves illustrating them even more -- each new story providing her with an opportunity to create the world and characters that the author dreamt up more palpable. ALL WE NEED IS A LITTLE PRACTICE February 24, 2025 Illustrator Ian Dale recently completed the third book in the Nana’s Bookshelf series, All We Need Is a Little Practice. Author Antoinette Simmonds wrote another beautiful and heartwarming story from real-life moments. This book highlights the intergenerational bond that grows through a shared love of music. MONSTEROLOGY February 17, 2025 To quote illustrator, Simon Shaw: “Monsters are in my brain!” Cute ones, silly ones, crazy ones, and funny ones... the crazier the better. He believes there is no rhyme or reason to who they are or what they do - that somehow they are evolved from the randomness inside his cranium! INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY January 27, 2025 It is the Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau on January 27th. On this day, named by the United Nations General Assembly as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we make time to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims of persecution by the Nazi’s. CHAGALL - THE INVENTION OF THE ARTIST December 30, 2024 Babi Wrobel had the amazing experience to illustrate a book about the life of the great master, Marc Chagall. In her research Babi learned how Chagall deeply touched her soul in so many kindred ways. He was a dreamy artist who wanted to awaken what was divine within each of us: love. He painted about the love he felt for his childhood, his hometown, his wife, his family, and his life. This book was written by Leticia Binenbojm and published by Editora Quase Oito. HOMETOWN HOLIDAY POSTERS December 16, 2024 Using the traditional style of oil painting in a digital format, Esther Cuesta de la Mata created these stunning posters for her hometown city of Segovia, Spain. RAINBOW BEAR December 9, 2024 Just up from a long hibernation, RAINBOW BEAR is hungry and ready for an adventure. This fourth book in the series by authors Bill Martin Jr and Michael Sampson is deliciously and delightfully colorful. It is obvious how much fun Illustrator Nathalie Beauvois had creating the visuals. Great for the little ones on your holiday lists - they will want you to read them again and again! Written by author William Bernhardt and published by Babylon Books, Call earned a gold medal for illustration at the 35th Annual Oklahoma Book Awards.
