Then take a look at these great ads for CIBC in Canada. Their very ’tongue in cheek’ approach to banking had illustrator Ian Seo painting away in true retro gothic style! Ladies and gentleman, step right up! Gerad Taylor had the very unique and satisfying opportunity to work on the cover of the book, The History of the Circus for AMG/PARADE. Remember that feeling when the circus came to town? The big colorful tents, the lines of kids of all ages, the scent of the animals. Was there a bearded lady? How many clowns fit in that car? It’s out! The hefty and prestigious CA annual just hit the stands, and we are proud to announce that Brian Miller/Orlin Culture Shop has a winning piece in the Poster section of the 58th Advertising Annual. Brian had the wonderful opportunity to illustrate one of five winning posters in a series for client, Radio Flyer, LLC. Collaborating with ad agency, FCB Chicago, Brian created Ninja Moose Canyon. Everyone remembers spinning around the block with their own Radio Flyer. Brian’s image makes us all wish we were gearing up for a ride right now! To see more wonderful work by Brian, click here.. Please help us congratulate our own Joseph Qiu, who has been nominated as one of New Zealand’s finest from the Designers Institute of New Zealand. Joseph was commissioned to do three portraits for the new He Tohu Exhibition. At the exhibit, you can see the people who helped shape New Zealand’s history, the Maori people, and three of the iconic constitutional documents. To see more great work by Joseph Qiu, click HERE. GUESS WHO TURNED 73?

Smokey Bear! In honor of his birthday, and in tandem with the Ad Council, the US Forest Service, and the National Association of State Foresters, our own Brian Miller/Orlin Culture Shop was selected as one of the illustrators to depict Smokey Bear in his own style. The campaign is all about raising awareness of some of the lesser known causes of wildfires. Apparently 90% of forest fires are cause by humans. Take a look, study up and protect the forest. Cricket Magazine, a literary mag for children ages 9 - 14, hired illustrator and painter, Cindy Revell, to do this beautiful portrait of parrots for the cover of their May/June issue. Her take on these birds of a different feather is a combination of her normal folksy style, bright colors and expressive features, with echoes of Henri Rousseau. Australian Geographic asked illustrator Bob Kayganich to show eight types of coral that can be found in the Great Barrier Reef, which houses over 600 coral species in over 344,000 sq. km. of ocean.
