lllustrator Brian Call was asked to create a courtroom artist style portrait of Dr. Carl Wigren. Wigren is an alumnus of the University of Washington, where he studied to become a forensic pathologist. The story is one of misfortune and great interest. A baby died, presenting with multiple broken bones, and the grieving parents were the likely perps. After an autopsy, Wigren discovered that the child had died of a rare brittle bone disease called osteogenesis imperfecta.
